Request a PIN reset letter
If you would like to reset your PIN, you can request a free PIN reset letter on the following page: PIN Reset Service: Order now (pin-ruecksetzbrief-bestellen.de).
The PIN reset letter will be sent to your registered address in Germany within seven working days. To accept the letter, you can either receive it in person at home via “POSTIDENT” delivery or collect it from a post office within seven working days. In either case, you will need to show an official and valid form of identification.

As an alternative, you can also contact your local citizens' registration office (Bürgeramt), where they will be able to help you.
