The KulturPass is an effective new and innovative instrument for promoting culture: Over the past year and a half, almost half a million young people have used the KulturPass and discovered and experienced the diverse cultural landscape in Germany in a variety of ways. At the same time, the KulturPass has boosted demand among cultural providers and thus the cultural sector in our country. It also means that young people in the cultural sector are specifically addressed and the audience of tomorrow is won over.
All young people born in 2006 who have activated their KulturPass budget by 31 December 2024 can still use it in 2025.
A new federal government will have to decide whether the KulturPass will also be available to young people born in 2007. Minister of State Claudia Roth will do everything in her power to ensure this. Following a positive decision, the continuation of the KulturPass would be possible very quickly, as the structures are already in place. Anyone who has already turned 18 by then would be able to use the KulturPass immediately.
