Redeeming value codes digitally

There are so-called value codes in the KulturPass. These value codes work like a budget or a voucher. The codes that you can redeem digitally with the provider are called "provider codes". These provider codes are mainly used for events such as concerts, plays, cinema visits and festivals.
  • For example: You book a provider code for the festival X for an amount Y.

Once you have booked a provider code, you can exchange this code digitally for a specific offer on the website of the provider within 48 hours.
  • You exchange your booked provider code digitally for the festival ticket on the website of the festival provider.

How do you redeem provider codes?

Now, step by step, what you must do to redeem your value code:

  1. Book your provider code in the KulturPass app.
  2. Wait for your booking to reach the status "Ready for Pick Up” and you will receive an e-mail as information.
  3. After receiving the e-mail, you have 48 hours to redeem your provider code digitally.
  4. Click on your booking in the KulturPass app to see your provider code.
  5. Click on "Redeem on the provider website" and you will be redirected to the provider's KulturPass website.
  6. Follow the instructions on their website and, if necessary, select your desired offer again.
  7. Then you select the provider code as the payment method.
After successful redemption, the status of your booking will change to "Picked Up" and it will be marked as "Completed".

Note:
If the offer is cheaper than the value of your provider code, the excess amount will be credited to your KulturPass budget.

What if I don't want to redeem the full amount of the provider code?

Example:
You have booked a provider code for the festival X for 120 Euro. However, the festival ticket only costs 115 Euro.
In this case, the remaining 5 Euro will be refunded to you via the KulturPass, as the provider is obliged to do so. This money will then be credited to your budget. The remaining amount cannot be refunded in cash.
