Redeeming value codes on site

The KulturPass contains so-called value codes. These codes are like a budget or a voucher that you can redeem at a particular provider on site, these codes are called "redemption codes". Once you have reserved a value code, you can exchange it for a specific offer at the venue.

For example, you reserve a redemption code for an amount X for the bookseller Y and then redeem it in the store.

How exactly does the redemption of the value code work?

You wait until your booking has the status "Ready for Pick Up". Then you can go to the shop and look for the right offer. Then, the provider will scan the QR code of your booking (or enter the order number into their system) to indicate that your redemption code has been redeemed. If the amount of the item is less than your redemption code, the excess amount will be credited back to your budget on the KulturPass app.

Once you have redeemed the value code, the status of your booking will change to "Value Code Redeemed" and your booking will then be in the "Completed" section.

What if I don't want to use the full amount of the redemption code?

Let's say you have a 20 Euro value code at bookstore Y. But the book you want to exchange for is only 14.99 Euro. However, the book you want to redeem the value code for costs only 14.99 Euro. In this case, the bookseller is obliged to refund you the remaining 5.01 Euro via the KulturPass. This money will then be credited to your budget. The remaining amount cannot be refunded in cash.
